But now she’s written an article for her school newspaper that has accidentally snagged the attention of some celebrities. AND NOW , the interview XD !!!
1.)Tell us something about yourself.
Oh man, where to start? Well, I love reading and writing stories about characters who try to become the best possible version of themselves. Probably because I am still trying to do the same with myself. I also chose to laugh at myself along the way. You can read about my most recent adventured on my blog here:
I try to answer fan questions on my vlog here:
But what do I do when I really want to get creative? That’s when I create video trailers for my books! You can check them out here:
2.) How did you come up with the idea for, ‘Invisible’ ?
I never planned on writing this book. I thought that I would finish ‘Awkward’ and then go off and write something completely different. Thankfully, my awesome literary agent, Laurie McLean, told me that she was going to land me a multi-book deal and to get cracking on the next Smith High School adventure. I really didn’t want to torture Mackenzie anymore (she and Logan were just too freaking cute together for me to concoct a reason to split them up) so I turned to the trusty best friend, Jane.
And that’s when it hit me: Jane hates being Invisible now that Mackenzie and Corey have busy social lives of their own. But just how far will she go to be seen?
3.) Which character from ‘Invisible’ has influenced you?
Jane and I have a whole lot in common, including an unhealthy tendency to see ourselves as the sidekicks in someone else’s fairytale. So I think writing from her point of view gave me some much needed insight into some of my past relationships with friends.
4.) What is your favorite book?
I can’t just chose one! So…The Heist Society by Ally Carter and Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen.
5.) Why ?
I absolutely loved everything about The Heist Society; the pacing, the humor, the characters, the swoon-worthy leading man, the kickass leading lady, the heists! I highly recommend it.
All of the above applies to Pride & Prejudice, too–except for the heists. Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy don’t plan any epic moments of thievery. Instead, they have the most wonderful love story ever written.
6.) What do you think about ROMANIA?
The castles! I want to visit ALL of the castles! *Stares longingly at images on laptop*
7.) Vampires are very popularized in last time. What do you think about vampires?
Erm…not my thing. I mean, yeah I get that they always look young, but that doesn’t actually make it any less creepy to me. Most of the time, the vampire is well into his eighties and yet still interesting in hooking up with a girl in high school. Just…ick.
8.) What do you think about GLEE?
I was totally addicted to the first season. Then I blogged about Corey Monteith without realizing my brother’s wife once dated him back in high school. Long story. Short: she showed him the blog post, he said, „awww, that’s sweet!”, I freaked out…and now I feel too awkward to watch the show!
But I still enjoy the music.
9.) What do you think about my blog ? 🙂
10.) Do you have a message for my blog`s followers ?
Life really does get better! Especially when you decide to pursue your dreams!
Thank you , Marni!
