About the book :
A girl who believes trust can be misplaced, promises are made to be broken, and loyalty is an illusion. A boy who believes truth is relative, lies can mask unbearable pain, and guilt is eternal. Will what they find in each other validate their conclusions, or disprove them all?
When Jacqueline follows her longtime boyfriend to the college of his choice, the last thing she expects is a breakup two months into sophomore year. After two weeks in shock, she wakes up to her new reality: she’s single, attending a state university instead of a music conservatory, ignored by her former circle of friends, and failing a class for the first time in her life.
Leaving a party alone, Jacqueline is assaulted by her ex’s frat brother. Rescued by a stranger who seems to be in the right place at the right time, she wants nothing more than to forget the attack and that night–but her savior, Lucas, sits on the back row of her econ class, sketching in a notebook and staring at her. Her friends nominate him to be the perfect rebound.
When her attacker turns stalker, Jacqueline has a choice: crumple in defeat or learn to fight back. Lucas remains protective, but he’s hiding secrets of his own. Suddenly appearances are everything, and knowing who to trust is anything but easy.
About the author :
I’m a hopeful romantic who adores novels with happy endings , because there are enough sad endings in real life. Before writing full-time, I was an undergraduate academic advisor, economics tutor, planetarium office manager, radiology call center rep, and the palest person to ever work at a tanning salon. I married my high school sweetheart, and I’m Mom to three adult kids and four very immature cats.
AND NOW , the inteview ! XD
1. I`m really glad you accept this interview ! Tell us something about yourself .
I met my husband when we were teenagers; we’ve been married almost thirty years. Before becoming a full-time writer, I was an undergraduate acacemic advisor for history majors at a local university where my husband is an adjunct finance professor. I resigned a year ago, in the middle of writing Easy.
2. How did the idea for , Easy ?
Jacqueline’s story just started coming to me. The subject of acquaintance sexual assault is very important to me, but I never thought I’d write about it. It wasn’t until I began seeing the whole story, and Lucas’s part in it, that I knew I had to write it.
3. Which character from , Easy ‘ has influenced your life ?
The characters I write don’t really influence my life – probably since they’re creations of my mind. I identify with several characters in the book. I know what it’s like to be assaulted by someone I thought was a friend. I know what it’s like to lose someone I loved dearly to a violent crime. I also know what it’s like to be the friend someone confides in. I also know that we get stronger when we tell our stories, and when we take steps to take our lives and power back. And of course, I believe in the power of love to heal.
4 . What is your favorite book ?
If I have a favorite, it’s Pride and Prejudice – but I love so many books that my „favorite” changes almost daily. 🙂
5 . Why ?
I think Jane Austen wrote with complete honesty about her time period, and the customs that shaped people’s lives. She also wrote the perfect brooding-but-sensitive and generous hero.
6. What do you think about ROMANIA ?
I hope to be able to visit Romania someday. I’ve been amazed by the support I’ve received from readers and bloggers there. It’s very humbling.
7. Vampires are very popularized in last time . What do you think about vampires?
Vampire lore is so interesting. Much of it stays constant, but so many authors and film writers have put their own spin on the stories. I’m more of a romance-lover, so of course books like Twilight and Vampire Diaries are more my speed if I’m going to read them.
8. What do you thing about my blog ? 🙂
I love bloggers. Running a blog is a lot of work – and writing reviews is, too. You have to put your opinions out there in the same way that authors put our stories out there in the world. People sometimes won’t like what you have to say, but you have to say it. (I like the entertainment-blending of your blog!)
9. Do you have a message for my blog`s followers ?
Keep reading! And thank you so much for the support. ❤
Thank you , Tammara ! 🙂
