    Blurb:

For Tommy, there is only one thing he needs to do: survive.

Only surviving isn’t that easy. The hunt for blood can be tricky when humans know to fear the night. Desire sits on the edge of his mind, urging him to become the monster humans think he is. Vampire Forces, a special branch of police, is determined to turn every vampire to ash. Tommy included.

The only human Tommy can trust is his twin brother. A bond connects them, and with Danny’s help, Tommy starts to understand the human world he struggles to survive in. He’ll learn what friendships means and feel the sting of betrayal, find that sometimes the worst monsters are very human, and come to understand that family means more than blood.

Tommy just wants to survive and he knows what he needs to do. But with the number of humans that mean more to him than a meal growing, he’ll learn there’s more to life than simple survival. He’ll discover being human doesn’t mean being a human.

Review:

I received a free copy of this book for review . Thank you , Patricia !

When I discovered this book a few months ago on Goodreads I thought  the cover is gorgeous . Then I read the description and I said , ‘Yes, I want to read this book ! ‘ Since I received it I was inseparable from it. It was the first book written by an indie author that I had read before . It all seemed so exciting  and the characters were well defined .The book is divided into five parts :  Brothers , Friendship , Monsters , Sunlight , Hatred .

In  first part are presented  relationship between twins,  Tommy and Danny . After Tommy was turned into a vampire  he forgets his human life . His brother tries to understand and help Tommy become human . The most exciting was when Danny was taken by his aunt and uncle in New York City
and  Tommy is looking for him on streets.

In the second part Danny came to college , Tommy follows . While Danny lives fully in college life , Tommy makes a human friend , Fallen ( Amber Tally ) . Fallen was a sympathizer but nevertheless I liked it. I was sad when Tommy killed her in the end .

The third part was perfect . Time passed . Danny was married to Rissa and had a daughter four years,  Mackenzie . Tommy became more human  and met Amy a vampires who believed in peaceful coexistence with humans . Danny and Rissa accept Tommy what he is and Tommy try to protect Mackenzie . Also in this part Tommy rescues Jamie , a friend of Mackenzie ,from a man who wanted to soften .

In the fourth part,Sunlight,Jamie grew and became alone.Tommy tries to make her happy.Such a beautiful love story evolves and Jamie feels safe, after all this time.I must admit that Jamie and Tommy form one of the most beautiful couples i ever met in books. Therefore the fifth part  destroyed me.

When VF descovered Tommy and took him to jail I felt my soul emply . Everything i think  about book has changed. I wanted Jamie to fight with her parents. I wanted Danny to stop complaining and take action. I wanted Rissa to show emotion , even now. None of this happened . And then, in that moment , when I finished reading the last page I saw what a brilliant book means . It was the most complete book I ever read . Thanks again , Patricia !

 My rating : 5/5
